Jennifer Lopez Opens Up About Her ‘Very Misunderstood’ Character In Atlas Amid Ben Affleck Divorce Rumors

Jennifer Lopez revealed that she can ‘relate’ to the ‘very misunderstood’ character in her new film, Atlas, while attending the film’s premiere in Los Angeles on Monday night. Reflecting on his role as Atlas Shepherd, ‘a brilliant data analyst with a deep disdain and distrust of artificial intelligence’ in the film’s synopsis, the 54-year-old superstar admits to looking saw a lot of herself in character amid split rumors with husband Ben Affleck. ‘We’re very different because she doesn’t carry any emotions,’ the mother of two told People. ‘She’s too closed off and sometimes I have too many emotions.’

She continued: ‘But at the same time we are very strong and certain about what they feel.’ ‘Sometimes. She is very certain. She said, “This is what’s happening, please listen to me. Tell me.” And many times I feel very misunderstood. I can relate to that a little too,’ the Let’s Get Loud hitmaker explained. The actress, who has starred in romantic comedies such as The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan, said that sometimes, she is ‘very sure about what’ she wants, and other times, she He was ‘very doubtful’ of himself. “I follow my instincts more than anything, and I find that when I go against that, that’s when I go wrong,” Lopez notes.

Lopez also admitted to injecting “a little bit” of herself into the role. The Grammy-nominated artist’s husband, Ben Affleck, did not appear at the film’s premiere amid divorce rumors after it was reported that they were living in separate homes. A report emerged on Monday from Page Six claiming Affleck has ‘come to his senses’ about his marriage to Lopez. The source described the marriage as a ‘fever dream’ and that he was so infatuated with Lopez that he wasn’t thinking straight.

People claims they disagree about how they are seen in public, although the source claims they will stay together because they have ‘a great love story’. “They just have very different approaches when it comes to attracting media attention,” a source said. ‘Ben hates all the attention and it makes him very uncomfortable. Jennifer always has a different approach.”

It was added that sharing too much about his personal life is not ‘his way’. ‘It doesn’t make him happy and causes stress in his life and subsequently hers. There’s no doubt their different styles clash,’ the source added. Fans started noticing something was wrong with the power couple earlier this month when they weren’t photographed together for nearly two months. But they have busy careers: he’s filming The Account 2 in Los Angeles and she’s co-chairing the Met Gala in New York City.

Headlines claiming they were on the rocks were circulating everywhere. But then suddenly she was seen smiling at her husband while his middle child, Fin, was performing in her school play last week.
